Introducing Axe
A crypto agent that works with your accounts on your behalf. The closed beta starts on Hyperliquid. Follow a leader, watch their fills, get a draft, decide.
Axe is a crypto agent that works with your accounts on your behalf. It reads the venues you care about, watches what matters while you are away, and drafts what you could do about it with the risk already sized. Nothing moves value without your decision.
Today we're opening the first part of it as a closed beta. It starts where the evidence is strongest: Hyperliquid, read live. Follow a leader, watch their fills, get a draft, decide.
Why we built it
Most of us already follow a handful of traders we trust. Watching them is the hard part. You copy a wallet address into one tool, its positions into a spreadsheet, a screenshot into a group chat. By the time you have a view, the position has moved.
The tools that promise to do it for you tend to skip the part that matters: why you should believe the number in front of you. A copy trade built on a stale read is worse than no trade at all.
So we built Axe around evidence first. It reads the market and the wallets you care about, shows its work, and stops at a draft. You make the call.
What the beta does
- Read. Add the wallets and leaders you trust. Axe tracks what they hold and how they trade.
- See the evidence. Figures are sourced and time-stamped, so you can tell a fresh number from an old one.
- Watch. Ask Axe to come back when something changes, such as a leader opening, adding to or closing a position.
- Draft. Axe drafts copy trades with risk caps you set. Drafts wait in Decisions, and only you can approve them.
Three questions
What is this trader doing right now?
Point Axe at a wallet and ask. It reads the open positions and recent fills, lays them out, and links each figure to where it came from. If a read failed or is out of date, it says so instead of filling the gap.
Tell me when this changes.
A view is only useful while it is true. A watch keeps the question open and brings it back when the evidence moves, with the new figures next to the old ones.
What would copying this look like for me?
In the beta, Axe answers with a draft. It sizes the draft to the caps you set, shows the risk before anything else, and files it in Decisions. During the closed beta, execution stays switched off: drafts are for review, and nothing is sent to an exchange.
How it works
A question starts with the evidence. Axe reads live data from Hyperliquid, keeps the source and the time of each read, and builds the answer from those reads only. When it is unsure what you mean, it tells you which reading it picked.
You will also choose how your agent runs, from an approved list, with your credentials kept in your own workspace.
Where it goes next
The beta is the first three rungs of a longer ladder:
- Read, Watch, Draft. Live in the closed beta, on Hyperliquid.
- Browse. Use a protocol's own frontend, the way you would.
- Sign. Act through a wallet you scope, one authorized step at a time.
- Integrate. Turn what it learns into integrations it can reuse the same way every time.
The later rungs appear in the app with their honest status, and they arrive one at a time. The aim is one agent across every venue you care about, with one ledger of everything it observed and did, each entry with a source and a time. Hyperliquid comes first because that is where the evidence is strongest today.
What Axe will not do
- It will not trade for you. Axe drafts, you decide. It has no authority to execute, and kill switches stay on through the beta.
- It will not hide where a number came from. When it cannot source a figure, it says so instead of guessing.
Limits
Axe can be wrong. Check the sources before you rely on an answer, especially before you act on one. Data can lag, wallets can be mislabelled, and a trader's past moves say little about their next one. Nothing in Axe is financial advice.
Get access
Axe is invite only during the closed beta. We're starting with a small group of DeFi-native traders and letting more people in a few at a time, so every member gets a fast product and a fast reply when something breaks.
- Request access to join the queue.
- Follow @axe_labs on X to see what members are finding and when the next group gets in.
The first members will shape what Axe learns next.
